I want to thank one of the Anonymous posters for first alerting the blog to this latest news. This is really sad, Mao's mother is ill, let's all send her our thoughts and prayers. Here is the icenetwork article.
This is so disappointing, I was really looking forward to seeing her skate, she's one of my favorite skaters. Hopefully her and her mother will be ok. What a difficult year this has been for them with the earthquake and now this.
There will be no replacement so there will only be 5 ladies skaters at the GPF.
